Located in Châteaurenard, the Mas des Retrouvailles is a charming bed and breakfast in a Provencal farmhouse, dating from the 18th century, covering the house with many beautiful assets: lounge bar with fireplace, common living room with juke box, dining room which turns into a pool table on sunny days, old library and various board games, to become a dream setting with its terrace surrounded by a flower garden and served by a park with trees and lawn on 5500 m2, fully fenced with a gate entrance and an exit sliding gate, both motorized.
Véronique Gasq wanted guest rooms for exchange and conviviality, advantageously renovating her property with sumptuous decoration commensurate with this extraordinary house which she opens all year round with great simplicity and sympathy for her guests. hosts.
The original bean-shaped swimming pool with waterfall and submerged beach for those who cannot swim, is open every year from May 1 to September 30.
Cocooning area where you can relax on deckchairs with cushions and parasols or take a siesta on the swings, relax with a game of table football, table tennis or darts (pool towels are provided in the pool house with shower and toilet).
In summer the garden dominated by the imposing mulberry plane tree, allows you to have breakfast in the shade of the foliage, relax in a hammock, play a game of pétanque, chess or cards... In winter at at tea time, we meet around a homemade hot chocolate accompanied by a pie that happily recalls the snacks of our childhood. The rooms have in common: "Non-smoking" rooms, hair dryer, cotton swab, make-up remover cotton, toothpicks, hand washing gel, shower gel, shower caps and shampoo. Mini fridge, ironing board with iron provided, large storage unit for clothes, private bathroom or shower room with bathrobes and slippers, flat-screen TV, air conditioning, welcome tray with tea, coffee, small complimentary chocolates, cups and kettle. Bed linen and shower or bath towels are provided. There is a real guest house atmosphere here.
The Pagnol room is a Provencal and family room in blue and yellow tones upstairs, with a bathroom and separate toilet, it consists of a 140 cm double bed, two 90 cm bunk beds, a an extra 90 cm bed for two adults and three children, with a desk table, two exotic poufs and a view of the garden.
The Mistral room (only for two people) is our romantic room with its 140 cm four-poster double bed in red tones, with a desk, a lounge area with two old armchairs and its coffee table, a bed box as a luggage rack and has a large full bathroom with a corner shower. It also has a balcony containing a beach basket for relaxing upstairs.
The Van Gogh bedroom on the ground floor as an extension of the farmhouse, in green and white Zen tones, consists of a 160 cm bamboo bed and a 90 cm bed on the mezzanine with a complete bathroom, a rounded sofa and a round table with two rattan chairs. It has its private terrace with its rattan lounge.
The Cezanne bedroom in shades of pink with a 160 cm bed, a 90 cm mezzanine bed and a convertible sofa bed with a 125 cm daybed serving as a living room with its two matching poufs and its contemporary coffee table is ideal for a family component of a couple with 2 or 3 children. It has a large bathroom with a walk-in shower which is provided for people with reduced mobility, on the ground floor directly overlooking the garden with its private terrace.
The Daudet bedroom, also on the ground floor, in orange tones, consists of two 80 cm electric beds, a 90 cm bed in an alcove, a small bathroom with spa bath and separate toilet, a office and a shaded terrace.
Breakfasts are served daily as a continental buffet: cereals, aged cheeses, cold meats, fresh fruit, yogurt, assortment of pastries, homemade bread, lavender honey, homemade jams, fruit juices, eggs from our hens... from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m., outside these hours on a tray in your room or on the terrace.
The table d'hôte (reserving the day before noon at the latest for a matter of organization and so that any food allergies or intolerances are taken into account), offers different formulas including one for less than 10€. Family and Provençal cuisine: herbs and vegetables from our vegetable garden, fruits from our eco-responsible property without pesticides, eggs from our chicken coop, on-site tasting of organic wine from Domaine La Manarine, run by my brother in the Côtes du Rhône appellation.
Private parking in the form of carports is offered free of charge on site, as well as a wifi connection available in the common areas. Our pets are admitted for an additional fee.
As for the location of the farmhouse in relation to amenities and the region: The environment is popular with hiking enthusiasts in the Alpilles, while a few kilometers away is the Luberon regional natural park with Gordes and its village of bories, the ochres of Roussillon or the Provençal colorado in Rustrel, the Antiquaires de l 'Isles sur la sorgue, the fountain of Vaucluse with its paper museum, the famous In and Off festival in Avignon with its famous bridge and its Palais des Papes, the chorégies in Orange, the photography festival in Arles, the quarries of light at Baux de Provence, the lavender fields to see at Sénanque Abbey, the excavations of the glanum of Saint Rémy de Provence, not to mention the tasting of its olive oil which has received an A.O.P. Avignon 11kms, Arles 32kms. Avignon-Provence Airport is 13 km away.
